When he is not guiding during the summer, Matt Volpert is supposed to be hard at work in the library at UC Santa Barbara. Not anymore. Although he is still a student, this Fall was the opening season for Matt's new business: Freebirds Delivery. The idea was sparked last Winter when Matt and some friends were up late at night craving the burritos that Freebirds (a local restaurant in SB) has to offer. Alas, with no delivery capabilities, the starving students went to bed, well, starving. "If only the delivered..." thought Matt.
This week marks the first time Freebirds has ever delivered. Check out this article on the front page of the UC Santa Barbara campus newspaper to find out more about Matt's business. Hopefully this summer we'll be able to get Matt back on the boats but until then, good luck buddy!
